Courtesy of Celia Halsey
One of a pair of portraits. Celia Halsey: “The boy with the cricket bat was my maternal grandfather, Charles George Harrison (aged 11 in 1920). His younger brother Stanley Ridd Harrison (aged 9) holds the ball. They are wearing their school uniform blazers…” The artist’s signature is clearly visible on ‘Stanley’ but cannot be located on ‘George’, although there is no doubt they are by the same artist and were commissioned as a pair.
